The Scindapsus Pictus Silver Satin, also known as Silver Satin Pothos or Satin Pothos, is a popular houseplant admired for its attractive, silvery leaves.
The Silver Satin Pothos features heart-shaped leaves that are green with a striking silver or pewter sheen. The leaves often have a velvety texture and are adorned with subtle, contrasting speckles or marbling.
CARE TIPS
- Place in bright, indirect light. It thrives in moderate to bright filtered light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and cause fading of the silvery markings.
- Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when you do water. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant’s growth slows. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure the soil is well-draining.
- It’s a vining plant, making it suitable for hanging baskets, or it can be grown on a trellis or moss pole to encourage upward growth. When you give your satin pothos a growth support, it encourages bigger leaf growth.
