Philodendron Rojo Congo - 140mm

The Philodendron Rojo Congo is a striking and popular houseplant known for its vibrant and dramatic foliage. The leaves of the Rojo Congo are its standout feature. They are large, glossy and have a rich, deep red to Burgundy colour, especially when new. 

Philodendron Rojo Congo has an upright, bushy growth habit. It typically grows as a self heading plant, meaning it maintains a compact, upright form rather than trailing or climbing. This makes for a great statement piece!

This Philodendron can grow to about 3-4 feet in height and width, depending on its growing conditions.

CARE TIPS

• Ensure that the pot has good drainage. Overwatering can lead to root rot, a common issue with Philodendrons. Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. This typically translates to watering every 1-2 weeks, but it can vary based on factors like light, humidity, and pot size.
• Philodendron Rojo Congo is a relatively easy care plant. It prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions, though its growth may be slower and the colours less vibrant. 
• Use a well-draining potting mix, such as one formulated for aroids or a mix of peat, pine bark, and perlite.
